Not sure which screen you need? Answer three quick questions and we'll point you to the right range. Panelscreens has made office screens and desk dividers in the UK since 2003, and our team is happy to help if you'd rather talk it through.
1. Where does the screen go?
On the desk
Screens that clamp or slide onto your desks to give each person privacy at eye level. Best for rows of desks and back-to-back benches.
On the floor
Freestanding screens that stand on their own feet to split a room, create bays or screen off a meeting area, with no building work.
Moving around
Screens on castors that you can wheel into place for meetings, events or flexible layouts.
Dividing a whole room
Taller screens that link into runs to divide open-plan spaces, up to 2.1m high.
2. Do you need to cut noise?
| If you need… | Choose | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Quieter desks for calls and focus work | Acoustic desk screens | A sound-absorbing core soaks up speech between neighbouring desks. |
| Quieter zones or meeting areas | Freestanding acoustic screens | Floor-standing acoustic panels absorb noise in the middle of the room. |
| Less echo across the whole room | Acoustic wall panels | Panels on the walls cut reflected sound that screens can't reach. |
| Privacy and a tidy look, noise is not a big issue | Fabric desk screens | Pinnable fabric screens in a wide choice of colours. |
| A clean, wipeable surface | Easy-clean vinyl screens or acrylic desk screens | Easy to wipe down, ideal for clinics, receptions and shared desks. |
Acoustic screens absorb sound, which makes a space noticeably quieter. They are not soundproof, so for a fully private room you need a meeting pod or a built partition.
3. What's your budget and timescale?
| Priority | Best option |
|---|---|
| Lowest cost | Budget desk dividers and budget office screens |
| Needed this week | Fast delivery screens, held in stock |
| Best performance and choice | Our own UK-made acoustic ranges, made to order in your choice of fabric in 5–15 working days |
| Natural light between areas | Glazed office screens |
Quick answers
How high should a desk screen be?
Most offices choose a screen that sits around head height when seated, so people can't see straight across the desk but can still talk over it when standing. If you're unsure, tell us your desk sizes and we'll recommend heights and fittings.
Can I see the fabric first?
Yes. We send free fabric swatches so you can match colours before you order.
Will the screens fit my desks?
Our desk screens come with clamps or brackets to suit most desks. Send us your desk thickness and any monitor arms and we'll confirm the right fitting.
Still not sure?
Tell us about your space, how many people use it and your budget, and we'll recommend the right screens and send a quote. Call 020 3995 4570 or send us a message.
