How we designed, made and installed bespoke acoustic desk screens for Vorwerk's open-plan office, fitted around two banks of desks and the team's existing monitor arms.

Workspace: open-plan office
Products: bespoke acoustic desk screens, a hybrid of our Muffle 70 and Hush 70 desk screens, in Camira Blazer fabric
Service: design, manufacture and installation
Vorwerk wanted more privacy and less noise in their open-plan office: two banks of desks, mostly 140 × 80cm, with a larger 160 × 80cm desk at the end of each bank. Because of where they sat, the two end desks needed extra screening to the sides and rear. The screens also had to fit around the team's existing monitor arms.

The screens are a hybrid of our Muffle 70 and Hush 70 acoustic desk screens, adapted to suit this layout. We sent Camira Blazer fabric samples so the team could choose the colour, and quoted several screen layouts that closely matched the design they had shared with us. Once approved, we designed, made and installed bespoke acoustic desk screens to fit every desk size exactly. Extra side and rear screens went on the two end desks, and every screen was shaped to work around the monitor arms.

Both desk banks now have clear desk-level separation, and the room still feels open and light. The screens absorb sound, cut distractions and improve privacy. The space feels more structured and focused, in a finish that matches the office.
